I am officially on vacation! So, I can study more English now! This semestrer wasn't bad, but could be better, I guess! In the next semester I'll study more. Promisse. Now, I have time for my blog. Unbelievable! Amazing!

Well... The year is almost over... So, I'm in a time of retrospection thinking about the last year, and because I don't have orkut more :), I'll put some pictures of 2007 in the blog. A couple of weeks ago I saw a movie that I don’t remember the name. I think it’s Amor em Nova York. Anyway, It’s a documentary about relationships. Very good, in my opinion. The song that can be considered a summary of the movie is Never There, by Cake. I didn’t like this song, but after that I think this song is great. It’s happen! Another cool song sung by them is the famous I will Survive!

Strategies to improve your English

Technique number One:
Listen to music

1. Choose a song in English that you like very much (it's very important that you like the song!)
2. Listen to the song and try to sing it.
3. Listen one, two, three times and try to understand what it says.
4. List the words or sentences that you can understand (don't worry about the spelling at first)
5. Do steps 3 and 4 as many times as you need.
6. Get the lyrics and check your job.
7. Pay attention to the words, how to write each word sentences structures...
8. Translate the words or sentences that you don't can't understand from the context.
9. Finally, sing the song and enjoy!!!!

Technique number two:
Talking with a new friend

1. Join a relationship site, por example. Suggestions: icq, orkut, skype, chat rooms in websites...
2. Search for people that live in a country where the official language is English.
3. Greet the people and say that you're learning English. Be cool and polite. (very important). If you are a girl search for a boy, and if you're a boy search for a girl, preferably. The chances for success are bigger!
4. You can use a program to download music and video. For example, ask about the files that you need or want.
5. Talk about light subjects.
6. Add this peolple to msn or ask for his or her e-mail. And be his friend.

Vacations in Punta del Este

Hey, guys! what's up? :) This blog a suggestion from my English teacher. I'm sorry for my mistakes. I have a lot of mistakes! You will see! :S

Homework number one:

Talk about a future trip and things you still need to do.

Well, I'm thinking about taking a trip to Punta del Este in the next summer. I went to Montevideo in the last year, but I didn’t visit Punta del Este. Since this trip, I’ve wanted to visit this place. I'd like to enjoy the beach and practice my Spanish.

I have plans to go to Punta in my vacations in December. But I still have a lot to do! I need to make reservations in some place, a hotel for example. I need to decide how I'll go. I need to go shopping to get a new bikini, but that’s easy to do . And save money. ah! I have to discover more people that want to go to Punta too!!! :)
